Jeff Lee - Northfork

The scenery in the film "Northfork" was amazing. The emphasis on sky as the backdrop added a lot of depth to the film. The sky took on a mystical feel through out the movie. When I see fictional images of angels they are typically accompanied by beautiful florescent clouds which is similarly reflected in Nortfork. Although, the angels in this movie are anything but typical. This group of misfit angels are incomplete and determined to find their missing link. The screen writer gives the angels a human like texture as they speak, write, read and feel as humans do. The scene in which Happy is shot with the tranquilizer dart and drops is a prime example of this mortal view of the angels. The backdrop offers a surreal experience to those who attend church in Northfork especially because the back wall is missing.
