“Signs are a 2002 science fiction thriller film written, produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan starring Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix, Rory Culkin, and Abigail Breslin.”
The German shepherd was barking that night and Graham went to check it out. He saw what he thought to be a long green leg disappearing into the corn. He rushes back and allows Bo, Morgan, and Merrill to turn on the television. Then there is a flashback to the accident that Graham’s wife was in. She was being kept alive by the truck that pinned her in place. The flashback wasn’t completed. Merrill sees footage of an alien sighting on television and Graham goes to Ray Reddy’s house, where he has a close encounter with an alien. He cuts off the alien’s fingers and then leaves.
Graham meets with his family and they decide to stay home and board up the house so the creatures can’t get in. They also keep the television on to keep up to date with the situation. They find out that there have been air born lights visible in over 274 cities world wide.
The aliens come to the house and one of them ends up getting though a coal shaft. The family has barricaded themselves in the basement. The alien that got in grabs in the basement. The alien that got in grabs Morgan but is repelled and Morgan has asthmas on top.
In the final confrontation with the alien Graham tells Merrill to swing his bat trophy, after realizing what his wife said. Morgan is sprayed with poison but alien is defeated by Merrill with his bat and the glasses of water stationed in the house. Realizing that the asthma attack saved his son, Graham’s faith is restored.
