Aaron McLellan--Northfork

Northfork was an excellent movie.  The angels were especially interesting and unique.  The crazy looking dog creature was an interesting character that caught my attention.  At first when he appeared to the boy I was filled with anxiety because I did not expect him and was not sure if he was friendly or not.  As odd as he was I thought he was important.  His dog head was the same as the priest’s cane, which represented a guide.  The dog creature acted as a guide that led Irwin to the angels that took him away.  Without the guide Irwin may not have found the angels who would take him with them.  I also wanted to mention the parallel between the couple who wanted to see Irwin before they adopted him and the angels that wanted to know if Irwin was an angel or not.  The angels wanted evidence that Irwin was the unknown angel they were looking for.  They would not take Irwin with him unless he was the angel that he claimed to be.  I have heard many parents call their child an angel if they are pleased with and love their child.  The couple wanted to know if Irwin was an “angel” or not before they took him.  But I still did not understand what it meant when the priest did not allow the couple to go into the room and see Irwin.
