The Omen is a dark apocalyptic thriller describing the birth and childhood of the Anti-Christ. Christianity foretells of an individual who will try to scatter Christ's flock and will be characterized as the Beast. He will rise up in glory and bring a false sense of world peace under his demonic power. In the end of days the Anti-Christ will persecute God's chosen ones considerably. This film depicts a child named Damien as the Anti-Christ. He has the birth mark of "666" on his head and has unnatural powers as a youth. There is a great sense of Otto's mysterium tremendum in this film. Because I believe in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible I truly believe there will be a Anti-Christ in the end of days. The prophecy is quite chilling and this movie only accentuates a legitimate fear in many. Those who understand God's sovereign power and control are not afraid of the Anti-Christ's coming but are weary of those who come in the name of peace!
