As a short white male from Staunton, breakdancing was not the norm. Although I had seen some videos of it during my pre-CNU life, I was simply unable to dance. Then, I came to CNU, joined the break dancing club, and have never looked back. Break dancing, simply put, is what I love to do.
Until I found break dancing, I never really understood the idea of just losing yourself in doing something you loved. When I dance, the entire world just melts away and all I care about is the music. All I can think about is what I will do next, what song I am listening to, and how much more I want to practice. The best part about break dancing, however, is the fact that there is never a “top.” There is always a reason to get better, even if it so I don’t get served at an event.
