I just wish I could play blackjack. This movie was actually better than I was expecting, since I already knew quite a bit about the story behind the movie. As always, though, Kevin Spacey was perfect in his role which seemed contrary to those he is normally acting in.
I also would like to note the nature of this movie in regards to this class. When we had our debate earlier at Bailey’s about the role of religion in this move, I brought up the idea of the Seven Deadly Sins. I think each of these sins was personified some way in the movie, either with Choi taking all of the free items in the hotel rooms (and some not so free); which would represent Gluttony, or the Pride of Fisher and his eventual fall from the team. This employment of the Seven Deadly Sins would not be a coincidence, however, since the majority of the movie takes place in Las Vegas, the city of sin.
